Day 732: New Year's Day

It was a quiet New Year's Day.  We slept late after playing games and visiting with Rachel and Mary until 1:30 am.  The two new games were fun, but not as much as Die Siedler.  In Hit or Miss, players had to write down as many words or concepts related to a term or phrase like Sun_______ or games with balls.  The better choice was Pit, a game that simulates the trading floor on Wall Street.  We had to trade for commodities by shouting out how many cards we wanted to trade and then hit the closing bell when we got a full set.  It got a little crazy as we scrambled and shouted.

I finished the chapter on Organizing Quest personnel today!  However, I found another chapter to add to the incomplete list.  Field Sanitation!

Today we were remembering a funny incident years ago with a girl named Brynn who didn't want to potty in the woods. She managed to avoid peeing on the one day hike and somehow avoided it on the two day hike.  Brynn revealed it to her science teacher who used the story as a teachable moment.  She explained how dangerous it was to hold in her wastes.  On the Wednesday of the four day hike, she came running out of the woods yelling, "Mr. Cobb, I did it, I did it! I pooped in the woods!"
