Day 640: Home XC meet

We walked about four miles today,  It was such a perfect day, sunny and warm.  Also ideal for Fredonia's first home cross country meet at Lake Erie State Park.  The girls lost, but the boys won by two points.  We enjoyed visiting with lots of old friends, former students and current runners.  Although it was demanding, I know Steve loved coaching and still misses parts of it.

There has been great progress on the entryway to the new science building and the adjoining courtyard.

Tomorrow is a huge day.  In the morning my closest friend for fifty years is having her first full knee replacement surgery.  I worry about her because her overall health could be better.  All the arrangements for care afterward are so difficult since she is a widow and has a limited support system.  Her daughter and one son are far away, but fortunately another son lives in a nearby community.  

Then we are waiting on news from the job front for our son.  We have all our fingers and toes crossed for a great new job for him!
