Day 601: Farm Festival

Every small town in America has a community festival of some sort that brings people together.  Fredonia's is the Farm Festival and it's in its 45th year.  Originally, the centerpiece was farm produce and crafts, nightly entertainment, fireman's hose races and a Sunday parade.  The core activities remain and it continues to draw thousands of people.

We spent only an hour there tonight, but ran into dozens of friends and former students.  On Day Street, a stage had been set up for a band dressed like the Beatles in their Yellow Submarine costumes.   Food stands feature all the favorites: doughboys, waffles, taffy, candied apples, curly fries.   I love crispy, sweet waffles!

The last Infinity

Today, I completed 5000 lengths in August or 25.56 miles.
That's a total of 54.7 miles for the summer!
