We took an hour off to watch NCIS, our very favorite show. Steve needs the escape to calm his nerves. I hoped we were done with calls, but nope. I didn't answer. They can wait a little bit.
The time for hiking is almost here and the hardest day is nearly over. The Silver Creek situation escalated and now only one leader is permitted to come. The boy with the concussion won't be coming until maybe Friday night. A knee injury means another kid can't come. The track coach really irritated us by swiping three girls and they did not make arrangements. Two of their parents said the girls were pressured by the coach even though they wanted to stay with Quest.
All the groceries are purchased and packed. Jerry is such a big help. He's been at Tops for 36 years and we consider him an indispensable member of our team. Sue and Dave came at four to load up all the supplies. That's when the coach ambushed us. We're so grateful for their help.
Evan found a new apartment today! A third floor walk up with four closets, a pantry, modern stainless steel appliances, three bay windows, close to the trains, air conditioning, a decent bathroom, bedroom overlooking a courtyard. He's overjoyed!
