The stellas opened today and the lupines are in full bloom. One of the most memorable sights in Iceland was the miles and miles of soft blue blooms growing high up the slopes. Our hostas are luscious, full and in varied tones of green, blue and yellow. I plan to finish the container gardens tomorrow and then launch into the weeding and mulching. Fortunately, most of the gardens are still in great shape because of all our work last summer.

Day 891: Lupine season
Molly was very naughty again this morning. Crying at our door at 5 am does not win friends. Steve got up with her and then stayed up since he was going to school today to talk about his experiences in Vietnam. She may be banished to the basement tonight so we can sleep through the night.
