I produced another half dozen planters today and still have nine to go. I enjoy creating each individual container garden by selecting flowers of different colors, textures, sizes and qualities to produce a beautiful composition. Some are monochromatic, others have strong contrasts. Always there is one tall spire, then bushy, colorful plants in the center and finally a trailing plant that spills over the edge of the pot. It's fun to make each one different. In a few weeks, they will be magnificent.
In the vegetable garden, I added yellow and green beans, sweet peas and zinnias. I also moved the squash plants from behind the garage cause they weren't getting enough sunlight.
Tomorrow, we will clean the pool and add the chemicals. Then, I can do serious swimming. The thermometer says the water is 62 degrees, but it feels a bit warmer. With the next few days close to 80, the water should warm significantly. It's much later than last year, but I will be so happy to return to the pool!
