Day 884: Summer arrived while we were away!

Morning arrived and revealed that summer had arrived while we were away.  Purple, white and peach iris in full bloom, giant hostas, lettuce sprouts and brilliant colored pansies all grace our yard.   But the grass, oh the grass was 12 inches high!  We had not been able to mow the back before we left because it was so wet.

Storm is coming!  Quick! Mow, rake, dump clippings, throw in a load of laundry, open pool, wash winter cover and hang it to dry, mow, rake, install the ladder, take a dip to cool my head, laundry, mow, dump clippings, fold up covers, swim.  Take photos, collapse in a puddle of sweat, lunch, nap.
