Lisa did not fare any better. She was only thirty minutes out of town when Alexandra threw up her breakfast in the car.
It was the best July 4 holiday that we have had in many years. Having them here was a joy. Family, picnics, visiting, first fresh corn, games and laughter, strawberry shortcakes, blueberries, ice cream.
When I started swimming today, I was at 580 lengths for the week. Last year, the total was 1040. So, I had to catch up. I did 240 lengths today so my total for the week is 4.2 miles compared to 5.5 miles last year.
Eleven new day lilies came to live in my garden yesterday. It was a surprisingly pleasant trip to Nass Daylily Farm. I didn't think our five year old would enjoy it, but she was greeted by a happy labradoodle named Wolfie who pranced and fetched with her. Then she and Evan explored a small pond full of water lilies and bullfrogs. She reminds me a bit of Colin, because she hates posing for pictures.
