Day 458: Georgia O'Keeffe

We made the rounds of museums and art galleries today, although we barely skimmed the top.  Next to NYC, Santa Fe has the most in the country.  I was surprised to find that there were very few flowers among Georgia O'Keeffe's work.  The docent explained that lush flowers made up only twenty percent of her paintings.   She preferred the landscapes and colors of New Mexico.

The cuisine is amazing!  Every meal has been an adventure.  Today we split a sopapila sundae at the Plaza cafe.  For lunch, we stopped at the Le Pod Curbside Cuisine which is a small Airstream trailer and had a Frog Dog.  That's a hotdog on a baguette with cheese and green chili.  Wow!  For dinner, we strolled down the street to Mucho Gusto, a tiny New Mexican restaurant that the hotel manager suggested.  Steve had lamb tacos and I feasted on chicken fajitas.  Incredible flavors and textures!
Sangria and a slice of margarita ice cream pie finished off the meal.  I'm going on a major diet when we get home!
