Day 403: 66!

66!  We have 66 8th graders enrolled in Quest 2013!  It was a crazy day because the kids and their parents left everything to the last minute. Forty three registered today.   Eight families called within the last 24 hours with some excuse, but we stayed firm.  Even a principal called and wanted an extension.  The last three brought the registrations to our house between 4 and 4:30.  

One boy came to see me on Monday and said his parents had been out of town when the parent meeting was held.  There were four meetings.  I told him that if he really wanted to do Quest, they should call me and we'd set up a meeting.  They did not call.  Today, he came at 2:30 and said he would have them call today, so I had to tell him that the deadline was at 3:00 and there was no chance.

Four months and at least 20 announcements or contacts, but he and many others had to wait till the last half hour.
