Day 398: Keeping warm

Molly stretched out before the wood stove,  napping and luxuriating.  Outside my window though, a squirrel convention convened despite the brisk winds.  Yesterday white outs were nearly constant, but today we saw the sun.  The southern part of the county got blasted, but we only got a few inches of snow.  At my sister's house in Louisville, the temp was 13 degrees, half of what we had.

Yesterday, I worked all day to finalize the food chapter.  I couldn't let it go till I was satisfied.  Even still, that was eight chapters edited in January.  Today I started on a chapter called Trials and Triumphs Along the Trail.    It's quite a hodgepodge that will have to be reorganized.  It includes medical emergencies, weather challenges, how to address the kids' ailments, head injuries, broken bones, and dangers like crossing roads and lighting stoves.  I don't know what to do yet.
