Day 400: Super Snowy Sunday

Everyone else is watching the Super Bowl, but we are watching Mike Holmes Makes It Right.  He's helping a community in Toronto rebuild a creative playground that was burned by an arsonist.  They organized thousands of volunteers and took ten days to build a huge new structure that includes a castle!

I remember when our community built a creative playground about twenty eight years ago. Colin was just a baby.   I served on the steering committee and did all the publicity for a the 18 months that went into planning, organizing, fundraising and building.  It was a huge job, but so worth it! Then, of course, they tore it down when the school additions were built.  It's not that it was in the way, but apparently there had been a couple lawsuits. That's what the Supt. told me.  All that community effort bulldozed.  It was disheartening.

At Penelope this morning they urged me to cut all the weather scenarios out of the trials and triumphs chapter and create a separate chapter specifically about weather challenges.  Penny offered the title: Weather or Not.  She is so clever!  I did that and worked on both separate sections.
The grand total for January: 97 hours, 9880 new words, 8 chapters edited and 135 finished pages.  Hooray!

We were able to take a long walk around town and got home just before the lake effect snows hit hard. It is so pretty out, but I can't wait for spring.
