Day 1734: Eighth Anniversary

Eight years ago, Colin and April got married along the creek in Burnham's Hollow.  It was a simple ceremony attended by just a few friends and immediate family.  April was radiant and Colin was glowing with pride.  They are still beaming at each other, very much in love.  I am so happy for them and so proud that my son is such a loving and devoted husband.

The pool is solid green.  We had asked our house sitter to make sure the filter ran at least eight hours a day.  Apparently, that didn't happen cause it was dark green yesterday and only a bit better today.  Steve poured in lots of shock, ran the filter since the moment we got home and backwashed.  It has to be clean enough for us to close it before the big storm hits.  The temp is down to 65 so vacuuming it will be difficult.  Next year, we'll just leave the filter running the whole time we're gone.  I hate to waste the electricity, but it costs less than all the extra shock.

It was still a busy day, but we were able to resist napping in hopes of sleeping better tonight.  We both feel dopey from exhaustion.
