Closing went very smoothly, mostly because it was warm and sunny with no wind. Some years we waited too long and struggled against the wind with numb fingers. Steve only swore once, as far as I know, and that was when we were trying to remove the ladder that was filled with water. We scrubbed every piece of equipment, washed the solar cover in the driveway and tucked it all away in the shed. All in all, we spent nearly four hours on the task, plus I trimmed lilies in three more gardens.

My final dip of 2015!
I'm happy to have another job completed, too. The Quest video is done! Next, I have to export it to a flash drive and then move it to the upstairs desktop. That's when I need Evan's help. Then Steve can start burning disks. So close!
Tomorrow is the day we've been nervously anticipating. Mary's surgery. She has to be at Roswell by 7:15 am. Surgery will be from 9 to 11 am. Then a few hours in recovery. We know it will be a lumpectomy. She wants it to be over and the pathology reports to be clear. If the tissue samples show any more cancer, she'll have to return for a mastectomy. At least tomorrow, there will be no surprises.
