Later in the evening went to the Clarion to hear the Wretched Group play and connect with other FHS grads who were also attending their reunions. The main attraction was our resident musician, composer, singer and friend, Mickey M. who has been playing with the Wretched Group since the group reunited for a weekend each summer several years ago. His drum solo during Wipe Out was wild and everyone was cheering for him.
This morning, I went back to Penelope after a four week absence and then visited my brother Steve to view his gardens at the peak of the blooming season. His backyard has no shade at all so his day lilies are dazzling! With rich soil and full sun, the lilies couldn't be happier. Many of the beds are encircled with huge boulders that he hauled out of the creek running along his property. He has transformed his yard and house from a run down property into a showpiece.
