Day 1674: Old friends

All the video is now downloaded into my computer so I can begin creating the Quest 2016 movie.  The video files are so large that they used up all the memory again and I struggled to delete and move enough photos and videos to make space.   What I've just realized, however, is that I moved my whole folder of blog photos to the external hard drive.

I had to text Evan for advice but basically I did the whole operation myself!  Tomorrow, I'll begin editing and dropping clips into position.  I really want the movie done before we travel to Australia.

We spent the evening with old friends from high school that we haven't seen in over twenty years.  It was wonderful to be reunited and we picked up right where we left off years ago.  Catching up was fun, but the saddest part of the conversation was informing my friend of all our deceased classmates.

I hit sixty miles tonight! It took 300 lengths to do it, but it was worth it.

When we walked this morning through Russell Joy Park, I got my first look at the playground equipment that was burned at the Hamlet St. Playground.  I big heap of melted plastic used to be a slide.  This picture doesn't fully capture the damage.  One of the effects is that the summer program was shortened by two weeks because of the cost of replacing all this equipment.
