Day 73: Lake views

On this gorgeous morning, after a trip to Jamestown, we drove along Chautauqua Lake through Bemus Point.  A brisk wind stirred the lake to little peaks. We stopped in Westfield to pick up my mended and renewed hiking boots and had a Reuben sandwich in an old-fashioned diner.  Driving back along route 5, we visited the lighthouse and a caravel stored at Barcelona Harbor.

Backpacking class in Brocton came next, followed by a long walk through the village.  On Summer Street, a huge tree has been recently cut down.  Bees clustered on the stump savoring the sap residue.

Then five hours at Fiddler rehearsal.   We ran the second act and took care of lots of details.  A very full day.
