Day 63: Backstage at Fiddler

Such a busy, productive day at Fiddler rehearsal!  The sweatshop was in full force while lots of fittings went on.  The pit orchestra performed with the cast so there were lots of stops and starts during the run.  The kids did a great job!

Kathy, Ellen and I critiqued costumes and exchanged items to get the most harmonious looks.  It took till 2:00 to run the show through and then we started on backstage construction and painting.  Ellen repaired the curtain hems, but we still have to get paint out of the curtains.  Charlie and Sandy spilled a can of paint while they were painting the street scene drop.  Tom and Carl worked on the train station and the bed.  After the crew removed several damaged floor panels,  Rick, Jasmine and I worked on our knees to install new panels.

We were tired, but very satisfied with all that was accomplished.
