Exhausted after four days of working the daylily tour, we drove eight hours straight home. Steve drove the first six and I did the last two. Molly, of course, was thrilled to have company once again. My gardens and containers were dry and limp even though we had hired someone to water each day. The hostas are limp, the lilies stunted and the tomato plants yellow. Dried up leaves are falling from the dogwood tree. Even though the pool was still 85 degrees, I was too tired to swim. Tomorrow will be better.
So wonderful to spend five days with this crew!
