Day 450: Break down

The turkey flock expanded to eight today with the addition of the male.  He swept in with the hens and circled them constantly while occasionally puffing his chest out and ruffling his feathers in a bold display.  His face is blue and a white patch tops his head.

We spent the day breaking down the sets for the musical.  When we began, I thought we would never clear the stage today in time for the blankety-blank program that one of the adults scheduled for tomorrow morning.  We disassembled the rolling desks and began on the window ledge.  Then Sean arrived, then Don and then a student, Deanna.  We began to make more progress.  Finally, at 2:30 a swarm of students arrived and quickly we took apart most of the sets, including the entire cityscape.  By 5:30, the stage was clear.  There is still enough work left on the fly bars to last a few days.
