The nature study class is one of our favorites. Jackie is such a knowledgeable naturalist and she exudes enthusiasm. She came well-prepared, although the foot of snow on the ground in Perrysburg limited her access to plant samples. Last year it was 82 on this day; today it was 22. Last year, Jackie brought examples of the invasive species garlic mustard so the kids could recognize it and learn to pull it.
Tomorrow I am flying to Birmingham, Alabama, for the wedding of my friend Judy's son. It's supposed to be 50-60 degrees. Hooray! No snow. I am so looking forward to this get-away!
Last year, this field was green, trees had tiny leaves and the daffodils were blooming.
