Day 1059: Ferguson decision

No probable cause for an indictment for Officer Wilson.   The streets of Ferguson are already erupting.  The evidence indicates Brown and Wilson struggled for the weapon within the car.  Witnesses gave conflicting testimony.  He stole some cigars and that was wrong.  He was wrong to reach for the weapon.  Did the officer have to shoot him six or seven times when he was over 100 feet away?  Wasn't once enough?  Why use extreme force? How many more young Black men will die because the police are terrified of them?  A twelve year old boy was just killed in Cleveland by police and he was holding a toy gun.

What now? How will this play out?  Will the violence continue?  Will anyone learn from this tragedy?  Will police change their tactics at all?  So many questions.

The next front approaches.

All the snow is gone.
