Colin and April are loving their time away from the city. Seeing friends, strolling on the beach, sunning on the back deck, sleeping in and visiting with family has been a delight for them and wonderful for us.

Day 160: Family time
The great refrigerator switcheroo is complete! We finished just in time for a lovely family dinner with lots of laughs, visiting, good food and telling stories about our Iceland trip. Everyone wanted to know about Evan's swim meet, but the winning tale was Mary's encounter with the horse that bit her upper arm. Our guide had arranged for our group to stop and pet the native horses. Farmers and ranchers offer horseback riding to supplement their incomes. Icelandic horses that are shorter and smaller than American horses. Several people grabbed clumps of grass and took turns offering the treats and stroking their noses. After one horse ate grass from Mary's hand, she turned away and the horse bit near her shoulder. Apparently, he felt one bunch of grass was not enough. His teeth did not break her skin, but she is very bruised.
